Sheila’ glass creations are inspired by found objects and treasures around which she can build her original designs…an antique bottle, an etched goblet, a cobalt blue broken butter dish, a flattened metal exhaust pipe. Her designs have become freeform and whimsical, incorporating the character of pieces of hand-blown West Virginia glass, copper pipe and wirework.
Each piece of her work is unique and one of a kind, and may include beads, glass jewels, sea shells, beach glass and sliced geodes, in addition to glass in an array of colors and textures. She is able to create an heirloom piece from a client’s broken treasure.

"Sheila's creativity is amazing. She has taken the art of stained glass to a new dimension, turning it into a sculptural experience. Individual areas accented with tiny wire sculptures, flat surfaces interrupted by parts of a bottle or piece of ribbed glass, each different area flowing into the next with a new visual surprise, and yet the entire piece is beautifully unified thru her choice of shape and color."
